ACF Car Finance has been recognised by the
Institute of Fundraising for encouraging staff to give to charity
through their payrolls and promote charitable schemes in the
workplace.

The news follows the announcement in April
parent company The Funding Corporation would pay employees to

take a day off each year to work for charity
, particularly BEN,
the automotive industry’s national charity.

ACF likewise has supported BEN with
presentations to staff at showrooms across the nation by
representatives of the charity.

Jane Whittle, marketing manager and chair of
ACF Car Finance’s charity committee, said the platinum award by the
Institute was a “fantastic honour, and it’s great to know that
everyone’s efforts are being acknowledged and supported in this
way”.

In reply to The Funding Corporation
announcement in April, Whittle and others
discussed the value employees can bring to a charity and the
benefit working for charity can bring to employees on the Motor
