Motors.co.uk, the used car advertising website, plans to significantly invest in consumer marketing, including a national television advertising campaign.

Andy Coulthurst, managing director at Motors.co.uk, said: "During the period from now until TV launch we will be significantly increasing our online response advertising spend to boost enquiries for our dealer partners."

He added: "We aim to create a site with tools and brand awareness that quickly becomes a must-visit for consumers."

At this stage it was unclear whether Motors.co.uk’s vehicle finance partner website, leasecarsdirect.co.uk, would feature in the advertising campaign.

Car services provider and auction specialist Manheim acquired Motors.co.uk in 2012.
