BNP Paribas’s vehicle leasing and fleet management arm Arval has released a range of interactive services named the Arval Smart Experience in the UK.

With a suite of apps aimed at both motorists and fleet managers, Arval is aiming to provide useful information, available at any time to customers via a combination of outlets including online tools, mobile technology and social networks, through mobile apps, tailored web content, and dashboards optimised for tablet use.

Robert Pieczka, business development and marketing director at Arval told Leasing Life: "The background to all this is really about the changes in behaviour and uses of technology.

"Smartphone penetration in the UK is now over 50%, tablet penetration has gone from 4% two years ago, to this year expected to be 14%, so it’s really exploded. And I think it’s recognition of that people increasingly, both as consumers and businesses, want to access information in an easy format any time, any place, anywhere."

Already active successfully in France, Arval are hoping the suite of apps will help enhance the relationships with their customers, by giving them access to expert advice and information in a time-saving, tech-savvy way.

"I think the average consumer gets about a thousand different messages every day," explained Pieczka, "so we want to really try and cut through that and provide simple and easy forms of communication and use the new forms of communication in a way that saves people time and makes it convenient for them."
