Despite temperatures of -3C and heavy snow, Lex Autolease and British Car Auctions (BCA) sold every car at the annual spring convertible sale at the Blackbushe Auction Centre on March 23.

The cars consisted of a selection of business, ex-lease and finance soft tops from Lex Autolease and Black Horse.

A total of 250 cars were presented and sold for a turnover of £2.1m, equivalent to 102% CAP Clean.

A third of the cars were bought by internet bidders, though this was less than the 50% figure from 2012.

The news comes despite the BCA usually banking on good weather for sales of convertibles.
