Software provider Epyx has launched a “pay-as-you-go” servicing, maintenance and revision (SMR) product for car leasing providers.
The product gives participating companies’ customers access to a nationwide network of garages to service their leased vehicles. Epyx is marketing the pay-as-you-go product as an alternative to SMR-inclusive contracts.
Customers can manage their servicing through Epyx’s 1link fleet management portal, which includes a streamlined invoicing function.
Product users will also receive pre-agreed labour rates and part discounts, negotiated between the leasing company and members in the garage network.
Tim Meadows, commercial director, said: “Some leasing companies see up to a third of their vehicles leased without maintenance, with the trend seemingly increasing.
“By offering a maintenance solution for these clients, leasing companies will be able to give control to the customers and build an ongoing relationship.
“Importantly, as well as accessing a new revenue stream, the new product provides a greater opportunity to retain these customers at end of contract whilst protecting the vehicle residual value.”
