Richard TaylorSIEMENS MOTOR CONTRACTS

Peter Austin, the manager of Siemens Financial
Services (SFS)’ vendor finance division, has taken on the
additional role of general manager at SFS’s vehicle leasing
division, Siemens Motor Contracts.

Austin replaces Richard Taylor who remains with
the Siemens business in a senior management position, SFS said.

Austin was the dealer principal at West London Audi before
joining Siemens, and has over 20 years’ experience in sales and
senior management positions. In his new role Austin will focus on
growing Siemens Motor Contracts’ links with dealerships, and on
meeting “aggressive” growth targets, the company said.

He commented: “I am look forward to applying the knowledge and
skills that I have acquired over the years to my new role with
Siemens Motor Contracts.

“I will ensure that we focus on developing individual customer
relationships whilst expanding on new market opportunities.”

LOWELL GROUP
Bob Colins
Lowell Group, the debt-purchasing
specialist, has appointed Bob Collins as its
director of compliance. He is to take over the company’s compliance
unit and maintain close links with relevant external regulatory
bodies to ensure that Lowell is up to date and compliant with all
relevant industry regulations and guidelines. He has spent the last
10 years in senior management roles at GE Capital Bank and was that
company’s first bank-wide head of compliance. 

Joe PaulsenEXPERIAN

Joe Paulsen has joined Experian as senior vice
president and general manager of its Integrated Marketing Services
business. Prior to joining, he was general manager of Fair Isaac’s
Marketing Services business and has full profit and loss
responsibility for its multi-channel marketing database
business.

Peter Turner has joined as director and general
manager of Experian’s CreditExpert service. Prior to joining the
company he was business marketing director at Tiscali.

MANHEIM
James Leese
Manheim has appointed James
Leese
to the newly created position of sales director,
manufacturers re-marketing services. Leese has been with Manheim
since 2006 and has worked closely with many motor manufacturers in
developing broad re-marketing strategies. Prior to joining the
company he spent nearly 15 years in the automotive industry working
in the franchised dealer sector and, latterly, specialising in
online and retail marketing systems.

Cliff Walker has joined Manheim as UK sales and
marketing manager with responsibility for promoting its motorcycle
auction operations. Previously he worked as a journalist for
Classic Bike Guide, Streetfighters, Motorcycle Racer and Motorcycle
Classics. He then moved on to become a dealer principal for Carrera
Racing.

SHOOSMITHS

Shoosmiths Lender Services has appointed Fiona
Hayles
as a new lawyer in its team. She joins from Wragge
& Co where she managed penalty charge claim portfolios for
clients.

SUZUKI GB

Paul de Lusignan has been promoted to the
position of general manager within the motorcycle and all-terrain
vehicle (ATV) division at Suzuki GB from the role of sales and
marketing manager. He succeeds Nick Palmer who
resigned the post last month. Existing managing director
Yasuharu Osawa takes on the sales and marketing
director role, alongside current duties. In addition, Ian
Austin
is promoted to the position of on-road product
co-ordinator following a three-year term as technical co-ordinator
for motorcycle and ATV.

CARDIF PINNACLE

Cardif Pinnacle has announced the appointment of Ian
Shackell
as chief risk officer. Before joining he was
director of Finance & Risk at EIS Insurance Solutions and,
previously, director of Audit & Compliance at Amlin plc. He
also held senior management positions with Norwich Union and
PricewaterhouseCoopers.


Andy ShieldsAUTOQUAKE

Online retailer Autoquake has appointed Andy
Shields
as vice-president, vehicle supply and logistics.
In his new role, Shields will head up the supply team, and will
focus on growing volumes in “throughput” from fleet lessors,
Autoquake said. Shields previously spent 10 years at Avis plc,
latterly as European fleet and remarketing director and European
fleet planning director, responsible for the acquisition of 200,000
cars per year, and for the disposal of 60,000 cars across the Avis
Europe group.

 

SMMT
Nikki Rooke
The SMMT has named Nikki
Rooke
as the new head of communications at the
association. Previously, Rooke was senior communications manager
with A1GP World Cup of Motorsport; before that, she worked at
Ford’s Premier Automotive Group, and at the SMMT as a press
officer.

FLEXXILEASE

The new office of short-term lessor Flexxilease will be headed
up by Geraldine Harkin. She leads a team of four
sales staff in total at Flexxilease’s new premises in
Newcastle.

KIA

Kia has boosted its retail and fleet sales team with a number of
personnel changes. Thomas Tollet has moved from
being area manager – South to the same position in the northern
region, while Daniel Gregorious, previously a
regional business manager for Kia, has moved to the southern role
vacated by Tollet. Andrew Squires, another former
regional business manager, is to take up the newly-created position
of planning and analysis manager at Kia’s HQ in Weybridge.

FINANCE & LEASING ASSOCIATION

Fiona Hoyle has joined the FLA as the new head
of consumer finance and anti-fraud. Previously senior lawyer at the
Council of Mortgage Lenders, her new duties at the FLA include
“taking forward the FLA’s review of its Lending Code, and the FLA’s
response to the Competition Commission’s recent report on payment
protection insurance,” the FLA said.

FIAT

Fiat has appointed three new fleet account managers at its Turin
office to strengthen relationships with pan-European leasing
companies, and supplier agreements have been reached with
LeasePlan, Arval, GE, ALD, Masterlease, ING and DaimlerChrysler
Financial Services. In the UK, Fiat has restructured its contract
hire liaison division, with Paul Frain promoted to
contract hire and leasing manager (north), and with Sam
Watkins
taking on the same role for the southern region.
Frain joined Fiat from Lex six years ago and worked latterly as a
corporate sales manager. Watkins joined from Kia, where she worked
in fleet and corporate sales; prior to that she helped set up and
run Mazda’s UK fleet operation, Fiat said. The pair will report to
corporate sales manager James McMenamin.
