ACEA
The European Automobile Manufacturers’
Association (ACEA) has elected Christian Streiff as its new
president. Streiff, CEO of PSA Peugeot Citroën, will take over from
Sergio Marchionne, CEO of Fiat on January 1 2008.

 

VERTU MOTORS
Ian Stewart has been appointed general manager at Bristol
Street Motors
, Worksop Peugeot. He previously held general
manager roles for Reg Vardy and Pendragon
in the Yorkshire area. Gary Smith has taken on the role of used car
sales manager at Bristol Street’s Birmingham Ford outlet, joining
from Listers Group.

VARDY GROUP
Gerard Murray of Northgate
plc is leaving the hire company, where he spent five years, to take
up the post of finance director at the Vardy Group at the end of
2007.

EXPERIAN
Kirk Fletcher has been confirmed as the new managing director of
Experian’s
Automotive division. Originally joining the company in 1992 as a
junior account executive Fletcher became a sales director for the
Automotive division in 2004.
James Barr has been promoted sales director in the division.
Previously he was head of Dealer Data Solutions and, more latterly,
acting sales manager in the Automotive division.
Cynthia Lai has been appointed to Experian’s Integrated Marketing
(IM) division’s consulting practice. She has been appointed as lead
analyst within the analytics practice of Experian ClarityBlue, the
IM division’s customer insight business. She joins from Accenture
where she was a senior customer insight and marketing
transformation consultant.

LEX SCOTTISH
Lex
Scottish has promoted Janice Cadden to the new position of regional
director, Scotland. Cadden, who has been with Lex since 1994, will
be responsible for all aspects of the Lex business in Scotland,
including sales, marketing and customer delivery service.

COPERNICUS
Martin Hall, who until this July was director general of the
Finance
& Leasing Association
, has been appointed non-executive
director of Copernicus. Hall retains his position as chairman of
the Joint Money Laundering Steering Group and the Money
Advice Trust
.

FIRST RESPONSE FINANCE
Chris Penny has
joined First Response Finance. Previously he was a business manager
at Motorpoint.

MANHEIM
Manheim
has appointed Mike Mosier as operations director, Continental
Europe. He joined the European team from Manheim USA in 2006 and is
now based in Germany. He will report to Jonathan Holland, Manheim’s
managing director of Continental Europe.

HONDA (UK)
Honda
(UK) has appointed Janice Kennedy as head of sales – Cars.
Previously she was regional operations manager – North. She
originally joined the company in 2005 as business operations
manager having worked for Reg
Vardy
as franchise operations manager and prior to that she was
area operations manager with Renault.

JATO DYNAMICS
Jato
Dynamics
has promoted Neil Palfreeman as it chief executive
officer with global responsibilities. Previously he held the
positions of marketing director and managing director at the
company.

EUROTAXGLASS’S INTERNATIONAL
Alastair MacLeod has been appointed chief executive officer (CEO)
at EurotaxGlass’s
International. Current CEO Kevin Gaskell steps up into a
non-executive role of president of the group. MacLeod was
previously the group’s chief operating officer – a position which
not be replaced.

LLOYDS TSB
David Boran has been appointed
head of Automotive at Lloyds
TSB
Corporate Markets. He will be responsible for overseeing
all automotive business undertaken by Lloyds TSB with organisations
that have national or international interests requiring
sector-related financial knowledge, and his appointment is part of
a wider campaign by the bank to establish itself as the “partner of
choice” for automotive businesses, Boran said.

MONDIAL
Motor insurance company Mondial
has announced the appointments of Alison Todd as sales support
manager and Jeremy Smith as warranty and assistance services
underwriting manager. Both have spent several years at Mondial,
with Todd having worked the firm for 11 years, while Smith joined
three years ago following five years at AXA
