BLACK HORSE MOTOR & LEISURE FINANCE
John Woolley will be stepping down as managing director of Black
Horse Motor & Leisure Finance at the end of March by mutual
agreement. He will go on gardening leave from the end of January
and Mike Whytock, currently regional director for the North Region
will take on the role of acting managing director for the Motor
& Leisure business until a permanent appointment is made.
Whytock will report to David Oldfield, managing director of Asset
Finance division.

 

MONDIAL
Motor insurance company Mondial has announced the appointments of
Alison Todd as sales support manager and Jeremy Smith as warranty
and assistance services underwriting manager. Both have spent
several years at Mondial, with Todd having worked the firm for 11
years, while Smith joined three years ago following five years at
AXA Insurance.

VERTU MOTORS
Ian Stewart has been appointed general manager at Bristol Street
Motors, Worksop Peugeot. He previously held general manager roles
for Reg Vardy and Pendragon in the Yorkshire area. Gary Smith has
taken on the role of used car sales manager at Bristol Street’s
Birmingham Ford outlet, joining from Listers Group.

CATTLES
Chief executive of Cattles, Seán
Mahon is retiring from his position and handing over to David
Postings, the former managing director of Lloyds TSB Business.

PETER VARDY
Jeremy Simpson has joined
dealer group Peter Vardy as commercial director. Simpson joins from
Pendragon where he managed six Mercedes-Benz dealerships. Before
that he worked for Mercedes-Benz UK, where his final role was as
head of the SMART UK division.

PENDRAGON
Pendragon non-executive director William Rhodes resigned his
position at the retail group on December 31 2007. He had held a
non-executive directorship at the company since 1989.

GMAC UK
Dennis Foley is to take on the
newly-created position of the managing director of sales and
marketing at the finance house GMAC UK. Foley, who has been with
GMAC for over 20 years, will continue in his previous role as
European brand relationship manager in addition to his new
responsibilities. He will report directly to GMAC’s European VP
Carlos Ribeiro, alongside UK managing director Ed Paulat, who will
continue to be responsible for all other GMAC UK operational and
risk management functions. Foley commented: “I’m delighted to be
involved in continuing to build relationships with our GM dealers
and customers. In 2008, we will aim to achieve strong sales
objectives, maximising new car finance offers and improving upon
our comprehensive F&I strategy in the showroom.”

CAP
Dan Parnell has been promoted to the
role of key account manager at CAP’s Finance customer sector. He
joined the company in 2004 and will now be instrumental in driving
CAP’s data into motor finance point-of-sale, proposal management
and wholesale funding systems.

EXPERIAN
Lynn Brunner has joined Experian ClarityBlue, the consulting
business within Experian’s Integrated Marketing division as
director of its Customer Value Management Consulting practice.
Prior to taking her new role she was director of customer
management within Amdoc’s consulting division.

LEX MOMENTUM
Chris Chandler has joined Lex Momentum Consultancy Services, part
of lessor Lex, as a senior consultant. He joins from Fleet Audits
where he was a senior consultant and head of training.

RAC FOUNDATION
Edmund King, executive director of RAC Foundation for the last
eight years, left the Foundation at the end of 2007. Sheila Ranger,
head of campaigns, has become acting director until a permanent
appointment is made.

VERTU MOTORS GROUP
Ian Harrison has joined the Vertu Motors group as Ford divisional
director of its Bristol Street Motors Ford division. He spent most
of his career to date in the retail motor industry, latterly as a
regional director with Pendragon.

Neil Crossley has been appointed as the Birmingham CMA managing
director. He is to combine the position of dealer principal at the
main Bristol Street dealership in Birmingham as well as overseeing
the other five dealerships which make up the CMA. Most recently,
Crossley was divisional director for the Vauxhall dealerships of
Dixon Motors.

MANNING SOLUTIONS
Manning Solutions has
appointed Anna Erikson to the role of European Recruitment
Director. She joins as part of the management team, bringing some
11 years experience in international leasing recruitment, following
a career in banking and leasing. She will be responsible for
expanding the group’s pan-European delivery capabilities and will
continue to source and introduce leasing professionals across the
region.

ICENET
icenet has appointed Jim Reel as designer. He joins from Field
Solutions where he spent the last 12 years designing specifically
for the financial services market.

SSANGYONG
Paul Williams has been appointed managing director of Koelliker
Ltd, the new importers and distributors of SsangYong vehicles in
the UK. He joins the Italian-owned company from Landwind Europe
where, for the past year, he has been establishing the
infrastructure and operations ready for the launch of the Chinese
make in Europe.

Former Ferrari GB operations director Ian Nicholson has also joined
Koelliker as finance and operations director.
