BVRLA
Nigel Stead’s two-year tenure as chairman of
the BVRLA has come to an end, and Kevin McNally
has been named as the association’s new chair. McNally is regional
senior vice-president for Northern Europe and the Americas at
lessor LeasePlan.
In addition, David
Brennan, MD of LeasePlan UK, is the new chair of the
BVRLA’s leasing and fleet management committee; David
Alexander, operations director at Europcar, is the new
chair of the rental committee; Mike Lloyd of
Central Contracts takes over as chair of the leasing broker
committee; and Nigel Martin, commercial vehicle
sales director at Ryder, is the new chair of the commercial vehicle
committee.
EXPERIAN
Mark Nuttall is
the new general manager of Experian’s automotive business in the
UK, while Barry Nicholson is the division’s new
sales director. Nuttall joined the data provider in 1992, and was
most recently general manager of credit and risk in the business
information division. Nicholson joined Experian in 1995, having
held the position of head of sales for leasing and asset finance
within the business information department immediately prior to his
new role in the automotive department.
GMC LEASING
Adam Allaker has
joined GMC Leasing as a sales representative for private and
business leasing customers. He has previous automotive sector
experience, from working for Chandlers BMW and Vines BMW.
HELPHIRE
Mark Adams, the
chief executive of Helphire, has left the firm, which is to make
180 staff redundant this year, on top of 130 job losses already
announced. Taking up the reins are Richard Rose as
executive chairman, and Martin Ward as group
managing director.
PEUGEOT UK
Jonathan Goodman
is the newly-announced managing director of Peugeot UK, taking over
from Pierre-Louise Colin, who has moved to Paris
to take up the position of director of strategy and programmes at
the carmaker’s newly-created electric and diesel-hybrid vehicle
division. Goodman joined Peugeot in 1986 and was most recently MD
of Peugeot Belgium and Luxembourg.
BURLINGTON CREDIT
Gavin Cosson has
joined Burlington Credit as repossessions case manager. He has 10
years’ experience in credit management and worked most recently at
Grosvenor Credit Management.
CATTLES
Jamie Smith has
been appointed interim finance director at sub-prime lender
Cattles.
