Established in the UK in 2018, Octopus EV has helped more than 35,000 UK drivers transition to EVs and seeks to replicate its success in Germany.
The company plans to introduce vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology in Germany, which is already used in the UK to supply power back to the grid during peak demand.
It is also collaborating with EV manufacturer BYD on the ‘Power Pack Bundle’ in the UK, which enables drivers to effectively charge their vehicles at no cost.
Octopus EV is expected to commence its operations in the German market by early 2026, with services available through online registration.
