Manchester-based car and finance website carfinance247.co.uk has returned to brokering after three years of selling car finance packages on its own stock.

Capitalising on the 4,000-plus applications each month to the website, the company will now offer finance for customers to buy "any car from any dealer nationwide," it has claimed in a statement.

Louis Rix, director of carfinance247.co.uk, said: "Customers approved for car finance via our service can now buy a car from any dealer – or buy one from us."

Rix confirmed those taking finance with the company for cars not from their stock may still qualify for package extras such as free valuations and HPI checks.

Grass roots and green shoots

Rix said the move was "going back to our grass roots", with the company offering a similar breadth of finance upon launch in 2000.

The economic downturn and tightening of credit led to carfinance247.co.uk supplying its own stock and supporting finance, the company model of the past three years.

Ahead of the move, Rix added the company had "been working hard" to set up deals with lenders, including IVA and debt management specialists.
