Citron has announced a range of new offers, including price discounts and its Elect 3 and Elect 4 finance products, available across many of its models.

Between the multiple packages, Citron has matched nearly all brand finance deals announced since the New Year despite Banque PSA, captive finance provider to the marque, requiring a 7bn (5.6bn) bailout from the French government in October.

The Citron C1, Berlingo Multispace, C3, C4 as well as the C3 and C4 Picasso models are available with the company’s personal leasing option, Elect 4 Personal Lease, with monthly payments ranging from 99 a month on the C1 VTR model to 239 for the C4 Picasso.

These cars are also available with a 1,000 to 3,000 Citron Reward price discount, depending on the model. With several manufacturers attempting to secure retail in the first quarter of 2013 Malaysian carmaker Perodua, running finance through Close Motor Finance, announced it would extend price discounts available on the Myvi to the Xtraw version and Kia, operating through the Hyundai Capital UK, would discount the Picanto and Rio.

The DS3 and DS4 are also available on Elect 4 Personal Lease from 199 per month, whilst the DS5 is available from 299 per month on Elect 4 Personal Lease.

As with straight discounts, deposit contributions are being offered on cars purchased through finance in Q1, which has seen the incentive made available on the SsangYong Korando, the Alfa Giulietta, Mazda6 and Kia Rio, as well as Volkswagen LCVs.

Zero deposit and APR

Aside from the DS3 and the C1, all the Citron models on offer have a 0% APR representative finance option available, with the C3 and the C3 Picasso finance being available for three years on a 30% deposit, as does the Berlingo Multispace, or four years on a 40% deposit.

So far this quarter, 0% representative APR deals have already been put forward by Chevrolet, through Santander Consumer Finance, on selected Aveo, Spark, Cruze, Orlando and Captiva models and by Suzuki with 0% APR on hire purchase of the Grand Vitara.

Citron is also offering the C4, C4 Picasso, DS4 and DS5 on three-year 0% APR available with zero deposit, the same enticement as Mazda has extended to the conditional sale or PCP packages on the Mazda5 Venture.

The C4 Picasso 0% APR finance is offered over four years, available with a 40% minimum deposit; however the C4, DS4 and DS5 will offer 0% APR with a 20% minimum deposit.
