Several records for the Finance & Leasing Association (FLA) Vehicle Recovery Scheme were beaten in June as £5.67m of vehicles were recovered, including a Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead worth £150,100 in finance.

Run in conjunction with the ACPO Vehicle Crime Intelligence Service and HPI CrushWatch, the total worth of recoveries is a monthly record under the scheme, as is the average value of a recovery at £7,528.55.

The percentage of enquiries to the scheme to find cars with outstanding finance which had been seized by the police was also the second-highest on record at 11.79%.

The Metropolitan Police Service, which recovered two Ferraris and a Lamborghini worth nearly £500,000 in May, also recorded a highest-ever monthly recovery value by any single constabulary of £3.05m. Between them, the top five constabularies recovered £4.02m of vehicles with outstanding finance in June, another record.

Individual recoveries

This is the third time a Phantom, and the fourth time a Rolls-Royce, has been recorded among the top 10 recoveries for a month.
