A quorum of industry stalwarts has entered into a joint venture with online car salvage auction site Bluecycle to launch web-based vehicle remarketing company Carcom.

Carcom promises to bring together an online auction platform, second-hand stock locator, lead generator and a space for private used car sales.

The site is the combined work of chief executive Gerry Lynch, sales and operations director Mark Thomas and commercial director Peter Rosie, in partnership with Bluecycle, the wholly-owned subsidiary of insurance provider Aviva, and joint venture partner Jon Mitchell, managing director of Eastbourne Car Auctions.

Lynch’s experience includes 35 years across dealer group and fleet service provider Inchcape, remarketer British Car Auctions (BCA) and Autologic, while Thomas has worked for 20 years at BCA, Mercedes-Benz Finance, Pendragon and others. Rosie has worked in the industry for 30 years at Leaseplan, Motability Operations, where he was head of remarketing, and Wimpey, where he was fleet manager.
