Ford Credit has proposed consolidating its business centre operations in the UK, currently split between St Albans and Manchester, into its Manchester Business Centre.
Under the current proposal, the St Albans site will be closed in phases between Q4 2015 and Q1 2016.

Employees were informed of the plans at the end of April, and Ford Credit has commenced a formal consultation process with affected employees.
Subject to this consultation, the company said all 120 employees at the St Albans site would be given the opportunity to relocate to Manchester with their existing jobs.
It said it would try to redeploy those who do not wish to relocate to its offices in Warley, Essex. There will also be a voluntary separation programme, though details of this have to yet been released
