Private sales website Gumtree has appointed Andrew Hooks as director of motors.

Hooks was previously UK head of business at eBay Motors and electronics for four years and consultant at Marakon Associates for a year and a half before that.
Gumtree currently records approximately two million unique visitors to its motor pages each month with in excess of four million adverts listed in 2012.
It also offers dealers the option to promote finance deals and to bulk-load their inventories to the site using the Motors Pro dealer portal run by parent website eBay.
