Ayvens Carmarket has initiated the rollout of a certification system for used battery electric vehicles (BEVs) in several European countries.

They are the result of a diagnostic process conducted by entities accredited by the European Car Remarketing Association (CARA).

The diagnostics extract the SoH value from the vehicle’s battery management system (BMS), which records and analyses data on voltage, temperature, charging patterns, and current capacity to ascertain the battery’s condition accurately.

Presently, these certificates are accessible for BEVs sold through Ayvens Carmarket’s physical and online outlets in the Czech Republic, France, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands and Portugal.

The certification programme will expand to cover additional European markets in the near future.

Ayvens Group remarketing business line director Frédéric Van Heems said: “Battery performance is a key concern for customers considering the purchase of a used EV.

“With this SoH certification, Ayvens offers more transparency and helps clients to buy with confidence, while supporting a growing second-hand EV market and the transition to electric mobility.”

Ayvens Carmarket operates as part of Ayvens, a global entity focused on sustainable mobility solutions, which includes full-service leasing and fleet management.

The platform facilitates the trade of quality pre-owned vehicles to professional car traders and dealers internationally.

In July 2025, Ayvens posted a net income group share of €271m, a 38.5% increase compared to the same period last year.

The company reported a slight decrease in full-service leasing and fleet management contracts, which now stand at 2.563 million and 648,000 units, respectively.
