Suzuki, like fellow
Japanese carmaker Mazda
, is extending its range of ‘no VAT’
finance offers in the UK to include the Splash range, alongside the
Alto and Swift until the end of March.

Attempting to attract 18-35-year-old buyers,
Suzuki is also offering to provide a £500 deposit for any hire
purchase and new personal contract purchase (PCP) deals on the
three ranges, available through the manufacturer’s captive finance
partner, Suzuki Financial Services.

The Alto, priced at £6,666 on the road,
requires a deposit of £1,406, followed by 42 monthly payments of
£99, with a final balloon option of £2,468; a total of £8,032.

The Splash SZ2, priced at £7,777, requires a
deposit of £1,777, followed by 42 monthly payments of £119, with a
final balloon option of £2,591; a total of £9,366.

However, the best PCP offer in terms of the
total paid compared to the retail price is the deal on the Swift
SZ2 three-door. Due to the comparatively small deposit of £159, 42
payments of £159 per month, and a final payment of £3,294, the car
costs £10,131, only 14% more than the showroom tag of £8,888.

APR on the models starts at 5.8% for the Swift
SZ2 three-door and goes up to 10.6% for the Splash SZ2.

A retail spokesperson for Suzuki said dealer
uptake of the offers had been “really very good; it’s a great
campaign in difficult times.

“The last quarter of 2011 was very successful
for Suzuki; the Alto is the cheapest car on sale right now.”
