Nick Andrews, head of fleet and business sales
for Seat UK has left the Volkswagen Group to take on the newly
created role of head of fleet at Mercedes-Benz UK, reporting to
sales director Mike Whittington.
He will be tasked with increasing
Mercedes-Benz UK’s 4% fleet market share, focusing on the company’s
new fleet strategy which aims to increase business in contract hire
and leasing, commercial accounts, and small business – a strategy
supported by an expanded model line-up.

Andrews has worked for VW for seven years, and
before that was Nissan’s national sales manager for its light
commercial vehicle division.
Said Andrews: “The focus on restructuring this
part of the business has led to some impressive results with the
best-ever market share achieved in 2010, which has continued, and
indeed risen, this year.
“I will be maximising the opportunities that our current and new
model line-up presents, and ensuring that our entire network
maintains high levels of standards, working together to achieve our
longer-term goals of extending our market share.”
