Positive 2008 results for fleet

Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions reported an operating profit of
£10.8m (2007: £9.3m) for the year to 31 March 2008; a 16 per cent
increase in profit put down to service levels and growth in
commercial vehicle operation.

Chief executive Simon Oliphant, appointed June 2007, said: “The
specialist commercial vehicle business has been a particularly
strong source of profitable new business, and continues to be a
focus for the coming year, alongside corporate contract
hire.”

He also promised the launch of several cost-cutting services for
consumers, as well as improved environmental and safety options for
the 42,400-strong fleet.

which has a section for corporate customers wishing to access
management information on their fleets, as well as an ex-fleet and
lease car sales section which can be accessed by consumers,
information on personal leasing, and news tailored for fleet
professionals.
