Cazana has appointed Rupert Pontin to the newly created position of director of valuations.
Pontin, whose career in the vehicle management industry spans 30 years, joined from Glass’s, where he was head of valuations.

He previously covered the role of chief car editor at Glass’s guide, and also held senior positions at British Car Auctions and Pontillion. For a five-year period, he also ran his own car sales business.
Pontin said: “I have joined Cazana at a very exciting time as it continues to grow its presence in all areas of the market. Access to accurate, real-time valuation data is increasingly becoming vital for the fleet and finance sectors, and Cazana is in an extremely strong position to provide this.”

Cazana provides a sales platform as well as a database for UK vehicles records. It is also planning forays into other European countries and the US.
