Three fleet companies to share council contract Arnold Clark Vehicle Management, Automotive Leasing and Ogilvie Fleet have been awarded contracts to provide East Renfrewshire Council with employee car leasing services. Whenever a new vehicle is required to replace a vehicle at the end of its three-year lease contract, the three fleet lessors will be invited to place bids for the new lease, with the contract then placed with the company which provides best value, said Diane Pirie, the councils corporate procurement officer.

New motor finance division launched Fortis Lease UK, part of the Fortis banking group, has established Fortis Vehicle Finance, one of four divisions within the lessors UK operations. This new business includes the companys vehicle finance-related activities, including retail motor point-of-sale finance, dealer vehicle stocking finance and fleet funding.
Zenith Vehicle Contracts buys Provecta
Independent vehicle leasing company Zenith Vehicle Contracts has bought employee car ownership specialist Provecta for an undisclosed sum The deal means that Yorkshire-based Zenith is now the UKs largest independent leasing, fleet management and vehicle outsourcing business in the UK with a combined fleet of some 26,000 vehicles, Zenith said. The tie-up also gives the Northern lessor a base in the South of England, as Provecta is headquartered in Reading.
