“BCA has taken nearly two million Live Online
bids from professional buyers this year to date, an increase of
around 18%.  The number of individual trade buyers regularly
using BCA’s online selling channels also continues to grow, year on
year.”

Jacobs added that the flexibility of online
channels meant buyers can access a wide range of vehicles 365 days
a year without the hassle of travelling costs. “Sellers can reach
an even wider audience of buyers as a result, and can even sell
vehicles in situ without any logistics costs. Online is set to
continue to grow in importance for all customers and in 2011, over
20% of all BCA’s sales will be via online channels.”
