Staff from Milton Keynes-based Volkswagen Financial Services
(VWFS) aim to raise £10,000 for Keech’s Hospice 21st
birthday with a 74-mile, 25-hour canoe trek from Witney Toll Bridge
to Ross-on-Wye.

From 5-7 July, come rain or shine, 21 members of staff will
spend at least seven hours a-day in their boats.

VWFS support Keech Hospice as part of its Corporate and Social
Responsibility strategy to support a number of local charities
including Keech Hospice, Willen Hospice and develop links to
Stantonbury School through the Business in the Community
organisation.

Graham Wheeler, joint managing director of VWFS said of the
event: “The team at VWFS have a history of raising money for
charity. Last year 14 people raised over £19,000 walking 24 peaks
of the Lake District in 24 hours in aid of the armed forces charity
Remount, and the year before 34 people cycled in the
London-to-Brighton bike ride, raising £16,000 for the British Heart
Foundation.”
