The UK Government has tightened rules about which EV model variants are eligible for its Electric Car Grant, with a new maximum price of £42,000.

Previously, the government said that so long as one version of an EV with a particular powertrain was priced at under £37,000, all other variants with that powertrain would be eligible, regardless of their asking price. Now, however, variants costing more than £42,000 will be excluded.
