New roles for directors at finance
house

Bank of
Scotland
Dealer Finance has instituted a new customer-focussed
strategy with the re-designation of senior staff.

The “product, distribution and strategic accounts business
model” is aimed at increasing customer-contact, and enabling
specialists within the business to develop new and innovative
products and services.

Paul McGill has been appointed head of distribution, Simon
Cotton appointed head of products and Peter
Cottle
appointed head of strategic accounts.

McGill and Cottle were existing senior directors, and Cotton
fulfils his new role after leading Bank of Scotland Dealer Finance
activities in the wholesale funding of vehicle rental and contract
hire fleets.

Core product areas are consumer, business, wholesale, insurance,
dealer development, and service delivery.

Customers of Bank of Scotland Dealer Finance will also benefit
from having access to the distribution team’s local customer
contacts and account managers.

Peter Cottle and his team will be responsible for overseeing
client services and ensuring the performance of the Top 20 dealer
group relationships along with all manufacturer partners and major
acquisitions.

George
Grant
, managing director of Bank of Scotland Dealer Finance
said: “The business is leaner and each division is specialised to
facilitate an increasingly dedicated and expert service. As an
industry, we need to work together to increase margins and this is
our second step, following our rebrand, to help achieve this
goal.”
