Raphaels Finance, formerly known as Southern Finance, has appointed Patrick Charlton to the new role of national sales manager.

Charlton has over 30 years’ industry experience, including 11 years at GE Woodchester and more recently with Cardif Pinnacle where he spent nearly 15 years developing and driving broker line propositions.

A core element of Charlton’s role will be to work with broker technology providers to ensure ease of access to Raphaels’ motor finance solutions.

"These will also provide a gateway to widen the network of brokers with whom Raphaels operates," the company writes.

Carl Virgo, head of lending at Raphaels Bank said: "Patrick brings considerable industry knowledge and expertise to this important new role. He understands that brokers need fast decisions based on personalised rather than automated assessments, along with a flexible, high-quality sales orientated service. These are the cornerstones of our proposition and Patrick will play a pivotal role in extending awareness of our offering, supporting our growth ambitions".
