Vehicle remarketer Manheim is to open its Shepshed auction centre as its new commercial vehicle centre in January 2016. The first auction is due to take place on Monday 11 January 2016.
The centre had been in operation since the 1970s, but closed in 2012. In October, Manheim revealed plans were underway to reopen the centre.

Manheim said it expected significant physical footfall in Shepshed, but all a substantial amount of buyers to be online. In 2015, it said 30% of vans and 65% of trucks bought from Manheim were from online buyers.
Although Shepshed will hold its first auction on the 11th, the first fortnightly truck sale will take place slightly later, on 21 January, in the morning, with a monthly plant sale to follow in the afternoon.
Tim Hudson, managing director for Manheim Remarketing, said: "As well as the site once again playing a productive role in the local community, it reopening is evidence of our sustained growth and success in the commercial vehicle market, with monthly sales volumes consistently above the previous year, in some cases by more than 50%."
In other news, Manheim Bruntingthorpe broke its daily auction record on 16 December, selling 714 cars and vans across three lanes in its final Wednesday sale of 2015.
