Oxa, a UK-based autonomous vehicle software provider, and Bradshaw EV, a specialist electric vehicle manufacturer, have announced a collaboration to deliver scalable autonomous vehicle (AV) solutions for industrial applications. The partnership will initially focus on off-highway environments such as airports, solar farms and manufacturing facilities.
The agreement will see Oxa’s self-driving software, Oxa Driver, integrated into two of Bradshaw EV’s key vehicle platforms: the T800 8-tonne tow tractor and the Club Car Carryall 500 utility vehicle. Both platforms will be equipped with autonomy hardware using Oxa’s Reference Autonomy Designs (RADs), enabling immediate deployment in logistics and inspection roles.

The announcement follows the UK government’s confirmation that fully autonomous vehicles will not be permitted to operate on public roads until at least the second half of 2027. In a statement published in May 2025, the Department for Transport stated that the timeline would allow for further regulatory development and safety validation before widespread deployment.
Oxa said the industrial sector is “ideally placed to benefit from Industrial Mobility Automation today”, highlighting that off-highway environments provide fewer regulatory and technical barriers compared with public road use.
The T800 platform is designed to support autonomous towing operations for transporting goods across large sites such as distribution centres and airports. Meanwhile, the Carryall 500 will be used for autonomous asset monitoring and data collection, particularly in remote or harsh environments like solar farms and industrial plants.
According to Oxa, a key feature of the collaboration is the ability to use a “single, common interface” to integrate its AV technology across different vehicle types. This standardised architecture is intended to support future scalability across Bradshaw EV’s broader vehicle portfolio.
