Lithia UK has confirmed the acquisition, for an undisclosed amount, of Hatfields Group, with the deal completing on 30 September 2025. The transaction includes four Land Rover new car sales sites and one OMODA JAECOO store, marking Lithia’s first representation of the Chinese brand in the UK.
The addition of the Hatfields sites brings Lithia UK’s Land Rover presence to 11 locations, many of which also provide Jaguar sales, servicing and repair. The acquisition strengthens the group’s footprint in the North of England, adding operations in Hull, Liverpool, Pickering and Shrewsbury.

Paul Westaway, Managing Director of Hatfields and Stratstone Exotics at Lithia UK, said the acquisition expands access to “top performing luxury car brands” across the UK. He added that the Hatfields team will now operate within Lithia’s Stratstone luxury and exotics division.
Patrick McGillycuddy, Managing Director of JLR (UK), described the move as a “significant expansion” of Lithia’s retail footprint. He said the acquisition demonstrated “continued confidence in the strength and appeal” of JLR’s portfolio.
Lithia UK confirmed that the Hatfields brand name will be retained and all staff will remain in post. The OMODA JAECOO Hull store will transfer into Lithia’s Evans Halshaw division, which also operates with OEMs including BYD, Ford and Vauxhall.
Gary Armstrong, Managing Director of Evans Halshaw, said the OMODA JAECOO site brings a new OEM partner into the group’s portfolio, describing Chery as a “fast-growing global automotive brand.”
