The government’s Buying Solutions agency has announced the names
of the five fleet providers which have won a place on its new fleet
management framework agreement, through which public sector
organisations will be able to place orders for leased cars.
They are: Arnold Clark Vehicle Management; Arval; Automotive
Leasing; Inchcape Fleet Solutions; and Leasedrive Velo.

The framework agreement will run for two years, starting from
November 2, with an option to renew for a further two years after
that.
Buying Solutions aims to maximise efficiency and savings in
public sector procurement, and while public sector organisations
are not obligated to issue tenders through its framework agreement,
the option is nevertheless open for them to do so.
Roddy Graham, commercial director at Leasedrive Velo commented:
“Effectively, the framework agreement for general fleet management
services means that any government department looking to outsource
its fleet management requirement knows that we have been
pre-approved by Buying Solutions. It gives our vehicle
management division a head start in any future discussions.
“Similarly, any government department wishing to appoint us over
the next two years can comfortably do so in the knowledge that we
have been pre-approved.
