The proposed merger between Volkswagen and Porsche will not have
any immediate effects on the UK operations of the carmakers’
respective finance arms, a spokesman for Volkswagen confirmed.
“With regard to any potential merger of the
financial services operations of the Volkswagen Group and Porsche
in the UK, any decision will be taken at a headquarters level [in
Germany] following detailed discussions and consultation,” the
spokesman said.
