Thanks to its partnership with the National Forest Company, over
the past year the lessor Lloyds TSB Autolease (LTSBA) has supported
the planting of nearly 58,000 trees in the National Forest as part
of its carbon offset scheme.
The National Forest spans three counties in the Midlands, and
the lessor encourages its staff to visit the forest both for
enjoyment and in order to carry out conservation work at the site,
as part of its “Time2Care” volunteering initiative.

Deputy managing director of LTSBA, Mark Chessman, who lives
within the National Forest’s boundaries, said: “The partnership
with The National Forest has allowed us to make our own investment
in the environment and the British landscape.”
Chessman added that LTSBA offers its customers a range of green
products and services. “For example, we hold free Environmental
Best Practice Workshops which are supported by our online
Environmental Best Practice Guide, which gives fleet managers
24-hour free access to key tips and practical advice on how to
review and improve the environmental performance of their
fleet.
“We also provide specific consultancy on adding sensible
restrictions and incentives to fleet policies, which is especially
important in the light of the recent budget announcement on the
rise of VED. To help customers avoid additional costs imposed by
new legislation, we have restructured our internal systems to allow
them to select and restrict vehicle orders by CO2 level,” Chessman
said.
