Ben is a not-for-profit organisation that partners with the automotive industry to provide support for life to its people and their family dependents.
Our services deliver holistic care and support, based around the four key aspects of health and wellbeing: financial, physical, mental and social health. We empower people to navigate life’s toughest challenges and make a lasting positive change.
By addressing problems from all angles our ongoing support delivers long-term benefits to individuals, their family dependents and the industry.
What we do
Ben supports users over the phone, online or in person, providing information, advice and guidance on the four key aspects of health and wellbeing. When necessary we can refer people to one of our 700 partner organisations for more specialist help, these include debt advisors, government agencies and mental health charities.
We also provide funding for therapeutic interventions, family and relationship counselling, home adaptions, short breaks for families dealing with life-limiting illness, and immediate help for those in crisis.
In addition, Ben provides high-quality care for those in later life though our excellent care centres and home support services, as well as our award-winning retirement village.
Ben4Business
Ben4Business is our industry support programme, tailored to meet the needs of individual automotive organisations.
We aim to add value by improving the health and wellbeing of the industry workforce leading to greater employee satisfaction, productivity and retention.
Our services include:
BenHealthCheck: During a 15-minute check-up we use four key tests: resting heart rate, blood pressure, BMI, and body fat percentage, to determine employees’ general physical health. Participants can compare their results to national guidelines and are supported with information and practical tips on how to improve their health and wellbeing.
Mental Health Training: Training for managers and masterclasses for employees, equipping them to deal with mental health challenges both in and outside of the workplace.
Critical incident response: A free emergency support service for organisations where multiple employees are affected by a single issue.
HR support: A free, confidential service for HR personnel who need advice when supporting employees or their dependents with mental, physical, social or financial health challenges.
Bespoke health and wellbeing sessions: Designed to meet an organisation’s specific requirements.
