Alfa Romeo has said its week-long promotion of an additional deposit contribution on the MiTo and Giulietta was "well received".

Called the SBK Sales Event, the promotion added £500 deposit contribution on all MiTo and Giulietta models ordered between 20 and 26 May and registered by 31 May.

A spokesman for the brand told Motor Finance the event had "absolutely" brought a sales increase, although a percentage figure has yet to be confirmed.

The models on offer were "designed to bring conquest customers," including those on finance plans which the Italian marque believes would better facilitate contact "further along the ownership cycle".

The offer adds £500 to the existing £1,500 deposit contribution on the Gilulietta, when bought on PCP, available from £199 a month with 0% APR representative until the end of June. Likewise, it adds the same amount to the existing £500 deposit contribution on the MiTo, when bought on PCP, HP or cash, available until the end of June from £139 a month.

Retail finance for Alfa Romeo is currently operated through FGA Capital.
