BCA Marketplace has reported its revenue for the first nine months of 2015 reached £546.3m.

BCA was acquired by Haversham Holdings in March, meaning these figures actually only represent the six months since then.

Revenues coming from BCA Group alone were up at £525.8m, representing a 20.8% year-on-year growth from the revenue British Car Auctions .

The remaining income came from SMA Group, which was acquired in June, and a UK automotive logistics business, which was acquired and renamed BCA Automotive in August.

For the six months ended 4 October 2015, BCA said it sold more vehicles and increased the amount of revenue per vehicle sold in the UK compared to the same period in 2014. In total 394,000 vehicles were sold through BCA’s auction houses, with the company earning an average revenue per vehicle of £337. These figures were up 10% and 5% respectively.

BCA’s international arm increased the amount of vehicles it sold outside of the UK to 159,000 (up from 145,000), however revenue per vehicle sold fell 8.5% to £311.

Avril Palmer-Baunack, executive chairman at BCA Marketplace, said: "We are pleased to announce that we have delivered organic growth in volume and a trading performance at the upper end of market expectations. Our aim is to deliver cash-generative earnings growth and maintain a strong and sustainable dividend pay-out ratio and today we announce our maiden interim dividend of 2.0p per share. The interim dividend will be paid on 18 December 2015 to those shareholders on the register at 11 December 2015.

BCA Marketplace has also recruited Mike Pilkington as chief operating officer for BCA Services.

Before joining BCA, Pilkington was managing director at Paragon Automotive, and before that he spent time as chief strategy officer, UK and International, and managing director at Manheim Remarketing UK.

Palmer-Baunack said: "Mike will play a key role as we continue to develop and enhance the broader BCA vision to simplify and improve the efficiency of the wholesale used car supply chain for our customers, alongside the exceptional customer service we always strive to deliver to the users of BCA Marketplace."
