BEN, the benevolent fund for the UK automotive sector, raised approximately £220,000 from its Annual Ball held last week.

The Ball featured an auction which raised £85,000. Items under the hammer included Champions League tickets and a Jaguar F-Type donated by Jaguar Land Rover.

Magma Group, publishers of European-wide industry surveys, donated £50,000 on the night.

David Main, chief executive of BEN, said: "We are so fortunate to have such a committed group of businesses and individuals who give generously of their time and money to ensure that BEN, the automotive industry charity, is able to support those less fortunate in our industry."
