By including consumer credit firms that have an interim permission in the register, this will end the need to separately search the Consumer Credit interim Permission Register.

Searches can be conducted by name, reference number or postcode, and will contain information include contact details and the permissions the firm or individual has.

New board members

The FCA has also hired London based Russell Reynolds Associates to help it find board members to replace three soon to leave members, according to the Financial Times (FT).

Three board members are coming to the end of their terms in the near future, and so the regulator has begun its search for a replacement.

The three members the FT lists are Sir Brian Pomeroy, chairman of the government’s Action Group on Cross-Border Remittances, Amanda Davidson, a former director of Baigrie Davies and Mick McAteer, founder of The Financial Inclusion Centre

The news shortly follows Martin Wheatley’s decision to stand down from his role as the chief executive officer at the FCA, effective from 12 September.
