Over two-thirds (68%) of employees have little or no knowledge of salary sacrifice schemes, according to research from Lex Autolease.
As a result, just 18% of the 500 employees the Lloyds subsidiary asked said they would be willing to buy a car using such a scheme.
Andrew Hodgsen, senior manager, strategic fleet consultancy, at Lex said "To ensure they are getting the best solution possible, businesses need to do more to educate employees about the breadth of options available to them. Only then can they maximise the potential of salary sacrifice to motivate and reward staff."
