Land Rover’s former managing director Colin Green has become
director of global dealer operations, responsible for sales
strategy, distribution and dealer development, and Jaguar’s former
managing director Geoff Cousins is now director of Jaguar global
sponsorships and partnerships.

Hick’s spent 14 years at Vauxhall in sales, marketing and
after-sales before joining Quadrangle Consulting. This was followed
by roles at Volkswagen, where he eventually became Audi CEO.

At Audi, Hicks was responsible for promoting the RS model range
and pushing the capabilities of franchised dealerships, famously
saying Audi would no longer occupy the “brown carpet” in the corner
of VW showrooms. The brand sold 77,000 units in 2004, when he
joined, growing to 100,000 units in 2010, his last full year in
charge.

Robin Woolcock continues in temporary charge at Audi, with his
role as managing director at parent Volkswagen being covered by
Simon Thomas, previously of Nissan Europe.
