Online motor finance broker CarFinance 247 has appointed a new compliance director, head of marketing and head of learning and development.

Julie Atkinson has joined the company as compliance director. Before joining, she gained 15 years of experience in compliance at companies including Travellex, Lifestyle Service Group, Hammonds, Thomas Cook, and most recently at Different Group.

Atkinson is an FCA approved professional, and will be responsible for ensuring that compliance supports the business.

Matthew Williams has been appointed to head of learning and development, and will oversee the broker’s Academy 247 – its new employee training division.

Having joined from software developer Sage, Williams said: “We have created a new internal brand, Academy 247 that encompasses all of our development activity within the business. Its aim is to become a world-class learning and talent programme and to provide our employees with exceptional personal and career development support, supporting new starters and nurturing talent from within. My remit is to also embed and bring to life CarFinance 247’s guiding principles that have been designed to reinforce the company’s beliefs, values and commitment to customer service as we grow.“

Finally, Andrew Haines has joined CarFinance 247 as head of marketing. His appointment follows the brand seeing a refresh at the end of 2016, with an update to its logo and website.
