MG Motor UK has revealed its new leasing
division, MG Lease, as well as new eco-efficient MG6 models.

The British car manufacturer, which
specialises in company cars, and has recently signed
wholesale
and
retail finance
agreements with GMAC, will be offering MG Lease
through its UK dealer network and includes the MG6 GT fastback S
and SE models, with plans to later include to the MG6 GT TSE and
MG6 Magnettes.

Under this contract hire scheme a down-payment
of £734.97 is made on, for example, a five-door hatch MG6 GT, with
subsequent payments of £244.99 a month for three years.

The MG regional operations manager in charge
of MG Lease, Richard Bourton said: “This is our first venture into
the fleet business and all the signs are that it will be a great
success.”

Greener lease of life

MG has announced that its
2012 MG6 model is its most environmentally friendly due to
“improved production methods” – and the customers enjoy reduced
costs.

The new models, which were assembled in their
last manufacturing stage in Birmingham, have reduced their CO2
levels from 184g/km to 174g/km, saving the owner £50 on the first
year’s road tax and £20 a year thereafter.

A reduction in the Vehicle Excise Duty band
also means that the new MG6 model prices are £40 cheaper – starting
from £15,455.

Customers are now also being offered a finance
deal which MG describes as “the most flexible on the market”.

Entry level MG6 models can be purchased with
0% finance and customers can choose how much they pay as a deposit,
as long as the minimum is 40% of the on-the-road price.

The customer may spread the payments over 60
months but there are no penalties for paying the balance off early.
The deal ends at the end of June 2012.
