Benchmark Consulting has appointed Martin Ballard as its director of operation for its UK business.

Ballard has a long history in the automotive industry, having worked at Ford Credit and Ford Motor Company as far back as the 1980s.

Following this, he worked at BMW Financial Services in the UK, before moving to Volkswagen Financial Services (VWFS).

At VWFS, Ballard worked in the UK, Ireland and South Africa. His time at VWFS also gave him fleet and leasing management experience, due to his role as corporate solution director of the VWFS fleet operations in the UK.
