Motor finance provider The Funding Corporation
has agreed to pay its employees for time off work if it is spent
helping BEN, the auto industry’s national charity or other local
good causes.

The Employee Volunteer Programme entitles each
of The Funding Corporation’s 200-plus staff to one day off each
year for charity work.

Managing director David Challinor said he
expected the company to profit from the experiences of its staff
gaining new perspectives in a non-commercial environment.

BEN has announced that the theme of this
year’s National BEN Week, 16-22 July 2012, will be ‘Back 2 School’.
It is encouraging participants to raise at least £107 to reflect
107 years of the charity’s work providing financial aid and
practical care for those in the motor industry and their
families.
