GE STRENGTHENS UK VAN
LEASING

GE Capital Fleet Services has
appointed Simon Cook as light commercial vehicle
(LCV) leader and Eddie Parker as LCV
consultant.

Cook has been in the commercial
vehicle industry for more than 25 years and previously headed up
the sales and operations team at TLS Vehicle Rental.

Parker has worked in sales,
operations and consultancy for both manufacturers and leasing
companies in the UK and Europe – and most recently at
Masterlease.

The appointments are part of a
strategy to strengthen GE Capital Fleet Services’ van leasing
operations in the UK.

GE leases more than 200,000 vans
worldwide and has several thousand on its fleet in the
UK.

LEASEPLAN UK
HIRES

Fleet management company
LeasePlan UK has appointed James Hopkins as head
of remarketing, as well as establishing two new
departments.

Hopkins most recently worked at
Mazda as fleet and remarketing director, and later as director of
European fleet operations. He joined LeasePlan UK on 3
May.

The appointment of Hopkins, as
well as the creation of the new procurement and supplier
management, and customer experience departments, is part of the
company’s ‘Easier to LeasePlan’ strategy, aimed at focusing on
customer services.

LeasePlan UK operations director
Matt Cranny said: “We have recruited James for this important role
as part of our strategy to ensure our operational platform is the
best in the business and also to maximise LeasePlan’s remarketing
performance in a volatile climate.

“In addition to James’s role at
remarketing, Steve West heads fleet support.
“Procurement and supplier management is being led by Neil Dixon,
who is responsible for building mutually beneficial relationships
in our supply chain.”

 

TUSKER

Salary sacrifice specialist
Tusker has appointed Andrew White as business
development manager, responsible for identifying and developing new
business opportunities in both the contract hire and salary
sacrifice sectors, reporting to managing director David
Hosking.

White has more than 20 years’
experience in the fleet industry, many with leading leasing
companies, including Avis Fleet Services, Interleasing,
Whitechapel, Provecta and Leasedrive Velo.

 

ACF CAR FINANCE

have been created by ACF Car Finance in a bid to continue the
company’s expansion drive.

The company has promoted two
managers previously in charge of regional showrooms to the position
of divisional sales manager – each will take charge of business
development in ACF’s North and South sales territories.

Peter Lloyd of
the company’s Maidstone showroom now becomes divisional sales
manager ACF’s dealerships in southern England.

Meanwhile, John Parks, previously in
charge of the West Midlands showroom, becomes divisional sales
manager for the company’s northern dealerships.
