Santander Consumer Finance has signed an agreement with Bombardier Recreational Vehicles to provide the financing options across the Canadian company’s range.

The agreement takes Santander Consumer Finance deeper into the leisure market in addition to the traditional car and motorcycle finance provisions that it works on with the likes of Mazda and KTM.

Bombardier Recreational Products is a division of the Montreal based Bombardier, makers of planes and trains. The vehicles that Santander will offer finance on include the Sea-Doo jet ski, the Ski-Doo and Can-Am off road vehicle.

Paul Munns, national sales manager (leisure finance) at Santander Consumer Finance, said: "We are delighted to be working alongside BRP, another premium manufacturer. This partnership enables us to continue to develop our unique approach within the automotive leisure industry. As we continue to build strong working relationships with leading motorcycle manufacturers, this exciting opportunity allows us to learn about new leisure products, in particular the personal water craft.

"As well as providing dedicated leisure specialists to the dealer network, we have created bespoke finance solutions to suit the motorcycle and leisure sectors. Having already exceeded last year’s business results, this proves that our tailored approach is having an extremely positive effect with the dealers."
