The UK arm of Chinese-owned carmaker Volvo has appointed Jon Wakefield as sales director, reporting to managing director Nick Connor.
Wakefield joins from the Fiat Group, where he was also sales director responsible for Fiat and Alfa Romeo.

Wakefield’s CV includes roles at the Mercedes-Benz division of Inchcape and sales director for the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge brands under Daimler Chrysler Retail.
Internationally, the Volvo Car Group has appointed board member, and former head of Volkswagen-owned truck and bus manufacturer MAN, Håkan Samuelsson as president and chief executive, replacing Stefan Jacoby who suffered a mild stroke in September.
