PRIVATE & COMMERCIAL FINANCE

Scott Maybury, previously finance director, has
been appointed group chief executive at Private & Commercial
Finance Group in succession to Tony Nelson who has
became deputy chairman. At the same time, Robert
Murray
, who has been managing director of the group’s
business finance division since its formation in 1999, will also
take charge of the group’s consumer finance division. Zane
Kerse
, who has been the group’s financial controller since
2001, will be appointed finance director in succession to
Maybury.

MARSHALL MOTOR GROUP

Marshall Motor Group has confirmed Daksh Gupta
in the role of CEO as of November 1. Gupta was formerly group MD at
Ridgeway Motor Group, and will stay on as a non-executive director
at his old employer, working one day a month. John O’Hanlon, CEO at
Ridgeway, will take on the group MD role at Ridgeway following
Gupta’s departure.

Darren Murray has been appointed the used car
sales director for Vertu Motors’ Bristol Street Ford division,
having in the past worked for Quick’s, CD Bramall and Pendragon.
His brother Wayne Murray has been named the used
car sales manager in the same division, having previously held
positions at Quick’s and a large Tameside Ford dealership.
Simon Parsons is the new general manager of
Shirley Ford, after working for Quick’s and a privately-owned
Jaguar dealership. Gerome Guarini, meanwhile, has
been named new general manager at West Bromwich Ford, joining from
Evans Halshaw Stourbridge Peugeot.

FINANCE & LEASING ASSOCIATION

Amy Smith has joined the Finance & Leasing
Association as marketing and policy advisor in the motor finance
division. She joins the FLA from the Federation of Master Builders,
where she was both regional manager for the London area, and
communications manager. Her role will encompass raising awareness
of the FLA’s Specialist Automotive Finance programme, including
continuing the roll-out of SAF certification and the launch of a
consumer communications campaign.

LEASEUROPE

Leaseurope has announced the appointment of Richard
Knubben
as adviser in automotive affairs at Leaseurope.
Knubben has experience in the field of public affairs from his
previous role as a policy and implementation manager at the
European Advertising Standards Alliance, and at Leaseurope he will
be in charge of strategy on issues such as environmental taxation,
truck rental market liberalisation, cross-border road safety
enforcement, block exemption regulation and car rental, the
federation said.

BEN

David Main, currently chief executive of the
Civil Service Benevolent Fund has been appointed chief executive of
BEN with effect from January 26 2009. He takes over from
Christopher Macgowan who is acting as interim chief executive.
Having qualified as an accountant, Main joined BOC Group and later
became the managing director of a publicly quoted software company.
In 1997 he was appointed the first non-lawyer chief executive of a
regional law firm before joining the Civil Service Benevolent Fund
– his first move into the charity sector.

Experian

Experian has appointed Spiros Giourgas as
business development manager of Greece and Cyprus for its Decision
Analytics division. Giourgas has over 14 years of sales experience
focused on banking and telecoms with companies such as SAS,
Computer Associates and Pouliadis and Associates. In his new role
he will lead the division’s products in the Greek and Cyprus
markets with new products, stronger consulting services and greater
capabilities to support clients in their credit risk and fraud
management.

RVM FLEET SERVICES

RVM Fleet Services, the fleet accident and risk management
company, has appointed John Harrod to the new role
of head of business development. He will be responsible for
developing the company’s new Full Circle service which aims to
assist fleet operators reduce the frequency and cost of accidents
more effectively. Previously he spent over 10 years in the driver
training industry.

ASTON MARTIN LAGONDA

Aston Martin Lagonda has appointed Philipp Grosse
Kleimann
to the newly-created role of director of business
development based at the company’s head office at Gaydon, UK. He
will report to Dr Ulrich Bez, chief executive
officer and will join the company’s executive board of management.
Previously he spent some 13 years with Daimler where he worked in a
range of senior management roles in marketing, investor relations
and after sales for Mercedes Benz, Smart and Maybach.

PSA PEUGEOT CITROEN

Peter Bourke has been appointed director of UK
Communications and Public Affairs for PSA Peugeot Citroën based at
the group’s London office. Bourke has worked for the PSA group for
some 30 years, joining Peugeot Talbot as a commercial apprentice in
1978 and working for Peugeot Motor Company until his latest move.
Most recently he was customer relations manager for Peugeot Motor
Company.

Phil Robson has been named director of fleet
and used vehicle operations at Peugeot UK, with the areas of fleet
sales, car and van rental and Peugeot contract hire within his
purview. Robson previously worked at Robins & Day as manager of
the Bristol, Newcastle and Gateshead sites, and at Peugeot as
manager of used car operations.

Subaru AND ISUZU

International Motors Ltd has appointed Sam
Burton
to the newly created position of sales director for
Subaru and Isuzu. Other appointments at the importing company
include John Fossey who, previously marketing
manager at Subaru, will take the role of brand manager for both
Subaru and Isuzu and will concentrate on product development and
pricing strategies. Also Kenyon Neads, currently
brand manager, Isuzu, will take the role of marketing director,
again for both brands. Mike Cousen, previously
regional general manager – North, Subaru and Isuzu, is appointed
national franchise manager.

MAZARS

Company car tax specialist Alastair Kendrick
has joined accountancy firm Mazars as a director in its Employment
Tax Services team, headed by partner Chris
Blundell
. Kendrick takes the role at Mazars following a
spell at Bourne Business Consulting; he previously worked for the
Inland Revenue, Ernst & Young and KPMG.

MANNING SOLUTIONS

Bob Marien has joined Manning Solutions as
European recruitment manager. The appointment represents an
extension of the recruiter’s European leasing capabilities. Marien
will work with Anna Erikson, with a particular
focus on the German and Benelux markets, handling regionally-based
assignments. Previously, he worked for Jonathan Wren leasing.

JAAMA

Alistair Patterson and Kacper
Saar
have joined Jaama as a support analysts and web
designer respectively. Previously Patterson was at Wolverhampton
University where he achieved a degree in computer science and Saar
was a freelance digital media designer with over 11 years’
experience in designing and developing digital media for various
platforms.

SWORD APAK

Sword Apak has appointed James Powell as
international sales director. He rejoins the company after spending
some two years working for Fimasys. Powell is tasked with
formulating and implementing an international sales strategy for
the company’s products and services including its wholesale finance
systems.
