At the beginning of January, McCann began working as a consultant
for broker DSG financial services, with the aim of increasing its
penetration among the top 100 motor dealer groups with which DSG
doesn’t have a business relationship.
Prior to his role at Fortis, McCann worked for GE’s motor finance
division for 11 years, in various capacities, eventually becoming
its Northern business development director.

INVIGORS

Lease consultancy Invigors has
announced a number of changes with immediate effect. Invigors’
founding partner Peter Hunt has left the company to join The Royal
Bank of Scotland.
Julian Humphreys, formerly MD of Private Label Leasing and European
sales development director of Masterlease Group, joins the company
to develop its fleet expertise.
The company is also launching Invigors France and has appointed
Paul Johnson-Ferguson, formerly a finance director at GE Equipment
Finance France, to run the new business.

FLEET ALLIANCE

company Fleet Alliance has recruited Chris Renshaw as national
client development executive.
Renshaw takes responsibility for sales to fleet customers operating
up to 100 vehicles.
He joins from Blackburn-based leasing company MNH Platinum, where
he was key account manager for three years.
Fleet Alliance MD Martin Brown said that the new appointment is
part of the company’s expansion and development plans.

 

LEASEPLAN
CORPORATION

LeasePlan has named Sven Huster
as its new chief operating officer. Huster will replace Hans Peter
Lützenkirchen, who is retiring from the company.
Huster joins from Volkswagen Financial Services, where he held the
positions of chief operating officer and chief information
officer.
As of 1 April, the managing board of LeasePlan Corporation will
consist of chairman and CEO Vahid Daemi, chief financial officer
Guus Stoelinga, and Huster.

 

KIA MOTORS (UK)

Kia Motors (UK) has appointed
John Hargreaves as head of fleet and remarketing, with the task of
building up Kia’s fleet business as the company aims for a
long-term annual sales volume in excess of 100,000 units.
Hargreaves joins Kia from Motability Operations where he was
manufacturer account
manager.
He brings with him extensive experience from a variety of roles
with Citroën UK, latterly as national fleet sales manager between
2005 and 2009.

 

MOTOR CODES

Motor Codes has appointed Ron
Gainsford, chief executive of the Trading Standards Institute, as
chairman of the Independent Compliance Assessment Panel (ICAP).
ICAP supervises the work of Motor Codes as part of government
requirements for Motor Codes’ self-regulation of the automotive
retail, service and repair, and warranty sectors.
