Janet Entwistle has left BT Fleet after 11
years as managing director. She joined in 1987 as a lawyer.
Dave Bowen has been promoted to managing director
in Entwistle’s place, a year after joining BT Fleet as finance
director. Bowen has held various roles across BT, and more recently
supported a sales function in BT Business. Andrew
Edginton, formerly head of financial control and planning
at npower, has been appointed as finance director to fill the
vacancy created by Bowen’s appointment.

sales director, after more than 10 years managing the set up and
development of Arval’s international business office and group

SMMT president Joe
Greenwell introduced the Society of Motor Manufacturers
and Traders’ new president at the society’s 94th annual dinner at
the London Hilton on 25 November. Nigel Stein,
chief executive of GKN’s global automotive business, will take over
in January.
ALPHABET
Nigel Trotman
has joined lease firm Alphabet to head the company’s strategic
consultation team. Trotman moves from being senior fleet manager at
Lex Autolease and was previously business relationship manager at
Whitbread Group. Nick Butler has been appointed
head of intermediary business to steer and develop Alphabet’s key
relationships with intermediaries and large-volume business
partners.
Jane White has been appointed implementation
manager, taking on central responsibility for setting up new
schemes and products. White was previously customer retention
manager for BMW Group Financial Services.
CAP
Ian Rendle has
been promoted to general manager at CAP. He joined the company in
April 2006 and has since worked across the sales and marketing
functions as client service director.

Truro-based car finance company
Ignition Credit has appointed Linda Pike as a new
member of its team.

GROUP
Fleet vehicle remarketing
specialist Aston Barclay Group has appointed Alan
Henson as national sales director, responsible for car
manufacturers, leasing companies, rental operators and large fleet
operators. Henson was previously key account manager at RL Polk
& Co, the global automotive information and marketing solutions
provider. Henson joins the Aston Barclay Group board alongside his
predecessor, David Scarborough, who takes the
newly created role of commercial director.
